What have I been up to this past week? And how has it impacted this project?
Earlier in the week I had the opportunity to visit the MoMA in New York city, which currently is housing an exhibit on Guillermo del Toro's Pinnochio and the miniatures that were used in the film. It was very exciting, especially since I am working with stop motion animation for my own radical.

My greatest struggle with this project has been, with the desire to still use found footage, creating a framework and presenting the ideas of the piece in a way that is satisfying (to me). Originally, the stop motion portion of this film was a minute detail, it was a supplementary part of a larger whole. However, after fully realizing this issue, and feeling inspired by the Pinnochio exhibit, I decided that I would give much more focus to the stop motion animation portion of the film, in fact expand on it so that it is encompassing most of the project (still using some relevant archival footage, but hardly as much as I had originally envisioned).

In the beginning...
The curtain opens.

"Six days have passed, and on the seventh I shall render myself to a day of rest, and contemplate what is to be..."
"First, man."
* * Adam rises from the Earth * *
"And next, woman."
* * Eve joins him * *
"And then, SIN."
* * Eve consults the Serpent * *

* * Cain kills Abel * *
"Who are you? Depart from humanity and the offspring of the holy ones!"
* * Nephilim descend upon Earth * *
"For your face is a face of delusion, and your horns are horns of fantasy."
* * Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed * *
"You are darkness, not light; wickedness, not righteousness..."
* * Abraham prepares to sacrifice Isaac * *
"The LORD will bring you down into deepest Sheol."
* * Joseph is sold into slavery * *
"My refuge and my fortress, deliver me from the snare of the hunter!"
* * Joseph dies * *
(placeholder text?)
* * God appears once again as before * *
"And so it shall be..."
And then the curtain closes.

And so, here are the puppets that I have completed.

Adam and Eve

The Serpent and Eve

Cain and Abel

Nephilim and Man

Abraham and Isaac

Joseph and Ramses II
Assets that I still need:
- God: I have this one sketched out quite a bit, but it looks too much like,

I still really want to portray God as some kind of bleary eye.

- The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah: I don't think I'll need any human characters for this, and will just show the city(ies) being destroyed. But how?

Also, I redid one of my borders. However, since I have more scenes planned, I have run into an impass: Do I create a different border for each scene, or just re-use the same three that were originally planned? Or just keep one?
Also, what will the aspect ratio of this be? 1:1 or 4:3?
